Jaden Smith, just at 22 years old, has been known quite some time for his philanthropy efforts. Following the foot steps of his parents, Jaden has made great strides in becoming an advocate for change in the society whether it’s through his Just Water brand that provides clean water to people in areas that suffer from water contamination or launching his I Love You food truck in 2019 to give homeless people access to free vegan meals. Philanthropy has no age limit but it is very refreshing to see a young adult like Jaden have a clear understanding of what is important in life: spreading love to each other.

Announced on May 14th, Jaden announced that he will expand his I Love You food truck initiative into a restaurant to allow homeless people to have access to free and healthy food. Although the restaurant is aimed for homeless people, other customers will have the opportunity to go to the restaurant but will be charged extra in order to offset costs. The success of the I Love You food truck initiative has made great strides in feeding approximately 8,000 homeless people around LA’s Skid Row and downtown LA areas.

The expansion of the I Love You restaurant is in currently in the works and further details will be provided late this summer. It’s admirable to see how much of an impact Jaden has provided at such a young age. In response to his non-profit, 501CTHREE, and other philanthropic efforts he states “The reason I wanted to do it is because I feel like it has a bigger message of We Got Now, like, the culture has now; the youth has now. The organization is all about giving back to the community and specifically serving the black and brown communities that are disproportionally affected by these issues.”
