Why is 2021 the most pivotal year for us?

We can all agree that 2020 left us with a flurry of emotions. If you are like me, last year exposed a lot of my inner imperfections that forced me to sit still and work through them so that I can be a better person for myself. Many people grasp at the fact that they were able to tap into entrepreneurship or brush up on their skills and for others it may simply be the fact that they just survived through 2020. Whatever the case may be, we all have a testament and now have so much to look forward to in 2021.

So why is 2021 such a pivotal year? I’d like to think that since we’ve been through the time where the world has literally stopped then there is no limit to what we can accomplish in our life. The trials and tribulations brought about last year forced us to think more strategically and creatively so there’s no better time to act on it than now. It is also a moment to realize that time is valuable and who you spend it with is more important than anything. With the upcoming Presidential Inauguration for President-Elect Joe Biden & VP Kamala Harris, the COVID-vaccine, major shifts in the political seats, etc. we can see that things are shifting at a quicker rate in the month of January alone. This is not to say that everything will be glittered in gold but it’s an opportunity to reset ourselves and focus on what is truly our purpose in life.

This year is a turning point into moving forward with purpose and not letting anyone or anything deter you from your purpose. If last year did not motivate you to at least lay out your plans then this year won’t either if you are stuck with the same mindset. Whether your focus is to rebuild relationships, start a new business plan or refresh on an old business plan, live a more healthy lifestyle, etc. then the time is now to get started on those goals. There may never be a time like 2020 so our only focus should be to make a lasting impact on the opportunities and people that we have in front of us.
